Support
We’re glad to help. Write to ollita@nookpages.com, or in Ollita, open Settings › Contact support. Tell us your iPhone model, your iOS version and what happened; a screenshot helps. Please don’t send passwords or payment details.
Prices and the total
- Why a range? Ollita estimates each line by whole packs, from public price data and prices people check on stores’ websites, so the total is an estimate, such as “$96–$108”. Tap How we price this under the total to see where your store’s prices come from and when they were updated.
- “No price yet” means we don’t have a price for that item at your store. It’s left out of the total, never counted as free, and the total says how many items it leaves out.
- Your own items, the ones you add to the list yourself, aren’t priced, and staples you have are set aside, off the bill.
- Closer estimates: after shopping, tap What did you pay? and type the total from your receipt. Ollita brings your next estimates a little closer to what you pay. Leave I bought only this list on only when the receipt is just this list. To undo it, use Reset in How we price this.
- Prices are updated about once a month, and the list shows when.
Your store isn’t listed
Choose Other store: Ollita then uses the average for your region and says so. To change your store or your country later, open Settings › Store. Ollita covers stores in the United States, Canada and Mexico; your ZIP or postal code is used only to find your region and isn’t saved.
Changing meals
- Tap a meal to swap it: Ollita shows two close alternatives with how much each changes the total, or you can browse every recipe that fits your settings.
- From a meal you can also move it to another day, skip it, lock it so a shuffle keeps it, or choose Never show again. Favourites come back more often.
- Changed a setting, such as your budget or your days? The week says Plan out of date; tap Update the plan to refresh the meals you haven’t locked or cooked.
- Over budget? Ollita says so and suggests what to change, such as more leftovers or fewer second meals.
- In Mexico, the main meal is the comida and the second the cena; leftovers go to the same day’s cena.
Diets and allergies
Set them in Settings › Diets & allergies, and your dislikes in Settings › Dislikes. Ollita leaves out every recipe with an ingredient you exclude, in every plan, swap and search. Our data decides what an ingredient contains, but products vary: always check labels, and tell us if a recipe lists an allergen wrongly (see below).
If your settings leave only a few recipes, Ollita says so and which setting to loosen; favourites then repeat sooner.
Shopping with the list
- The list works offline, in the store too. Tap Shop for big checkboxes; “In your cart” shows what the checked items come to.
- To share it, tap the share button: it sends the list as plain text, with no link.
- When you’re done, tap Done shopping. Ollita can add what’s left over, such as half a bag of rice, to your pantry.
Reminders
Turn reminders on in Settings › Reminders: shopping day, tonight’s meal (with a prep note, like taking something out of the freezer) and planning next week. If they don’t arrive, notifications may be off for Ollita: open your iPhone’s Settings › Notifications › Ollita and allow them. Nothing else in Ollita depends on reminders.
Ollita Pro and its free trial
- Ollita plans your first week and shows its meals and estimated total before it asks you to subscribe. You can close the subscription screen and keep seeing them.
- Ollita Pro opens the recipes, cook mode, the list, the pantry and swaps, and plans a new week every week.
- The yearly plan comes with a 7-day free trial through the App Store. Apple asks for your payment method when you start it and charges you when it ends unless you cancel at least 24 hours before. The monthly and weekly plans have no trial.
- Your settings, your account, restoring a purchase and deleting your account never need Ollita Pro.
Restore your purchases
If you bought Ollita Pro and it isn’t showing:
- Make sure your iPhone is signed in to the Apple Account you paid with.
- In Ollita, open Settings › Subscription › Restore purchases. The subscription screen also has Restore at the bottom.
To use Ollita Pro on more than one iPhone, sign in to the same Ollita account on each, then tap Restore purchases if Pro isn’t showing. Restoring on an iPhone that isn’t signed in to that account moves Ollita Pro to it, away from your other iPhone.
Family Sharing: if the person who subscribes shares purchases with your family, Ollita Pro works on your iPhone too. Open Ollita and, if Pro isn’t showing, tap Restore purchases. Each person keeps their own plan and list. Only the person who subscribed can cancel the subscription.
Cancel or change a subscription
- Open your iPhone’s Settings and tap your name.
- Tap Subscriptions, then Ollita.
- Tap Cancel Subscription, or choose the other plan.
In Ollita, Settings › Subscription › Manage subscription opens the same page. Cancel at least 24 hours before your subscription renews to avoid the next charge. Deleting Ollita, or your Ollita account, doesn’t cancel a subscription. Apple processes App Store refunds: request one at reportaproblem.apple.com.
Move to a new iPhone
Ollita saves your plan to your Ollita account as you go, from your first change, even before you sign in. To get it back on a new iPhone, or after reinstalling Ollita, sign in first on your current iPhone:
- In Ollita, open Settings and tap Sign in to keep your plan safe.
- Choose Sign in with Apple or Continue with email.
On your new iPhone, tap I already use Ollita on the welcome screen and sign in the same way. Your settings, weeks, list and pantry come back. If Ollita Pro isn’t showing, use Restore purchases. Your reminder settings come back too, but cook mode’s progress stays on the old iPhone, and the new iPhone has to allow Ollita’s notifications (see Reminders).
If you never sign in and delete Ollita, there’s no way to get that plan back.
Delete your account
In Ollita, open Settings, scroll down, tap Delete account and confirm. This deletes your Ollita account and its data, whether or not you ever signed in: your settings, weeks, list, pantry and what you paid on our servers, your records at RevenueCat and PostHog, and your plan on this iPhone. Some records aren’t deleted right away, such as backups and server logs (about 7 days) and any emails you sent us.
Deleting your account doesn’t cancel an App Store subscription. If you have one, cancel it as well.
Report a problem with a recipe
If a recipe has a mistake, such as a wrong amount, a missing step, or an allergen it doesn’t list, email ollita@nookpages.com with the recipe’s name and what’s wrong. We check every report and fix the recipe in a later update.
Your data and privacy
Our Privacy Policy explains what Ollita collects and why. In Ollita:
- Settings › Privacy › Share usage analytics turns usage analytics on or off. They never include what you eat, buy or pay.
- Your diets, allergies, budget and household stay out of analytics, and Ollita has no AI features: nothing you enter goes to an AI provider.
To ask for a copy of your data, or to have it corrected or deleted, email ollita@nookpages.com from your Ollita account’s email address. An account that never signed in has no email address: you can see and change everything it holds in Ollita, and delete it in Settings › Delete account.
